I have a ranger cast iron stove. I believe the company was Southern Co-Operative Foundry Rome GA. I read where the company went out of business in1971. I also found a posting on e-bay that closed bidding in August this year. The only bid was $99 and did not meet the the reserve.
It is pre 1930 when the company name was changed to globe american

Red Mountain Wood and Coal cook stove where made by Atlanta Stove co. then they went out of business and the company was purchased by Birmingham stove co. which then changed names to Birmingham Stove and Range.
The King Hardware of Sheffield AL. bought out The Lizzie Loman stove works in 1905. The foundry was renamed King Stove & Range Co. In 1917 The Martin brothers bought out King Range & Stove Co and became Martin Stove Co. It may be that the Martin Stove Co still produced stoves under the name of King Stove up until the 1970's Not knowing the size of the stove or seeing a picture of it, it is hard to put a price on it. The price may range from $100 to over $1,000. I got this information from The Griswold & Cast Iron Cookware Association

Surprisingly not very old..... I believe the King Stove And Range Co. Model 200 "Fatso" is anywhere between 20 to almost 40 years old. I own one, and looked up the info on the Internet several years ago (that info seems to have disappeared from the Internet). If I remember correctly production began sometime in the early 70's and ended in the late 80's to early 90's. It was designed by King stove and Range as a reproduction of a laundry stove. Laundry stoves were used back in the day before hot water heaters, and boilers. They would use this style stove with its broad flat top to heat up big kettles of water for laundry, and probably bathing.
