Females reach sexual maturity at around 4 to 5 years of age, while males do so at around 6 years of age. Polar Bear Courtship & Mating usually takes place between April and May. Males locate receptive females through scent and the mating occurs over a period of a few days. After mating, the male and female go their separate ways. Cubs are born between November and February.
