I think because Idella died suddenly while doing what she loved: watching the soap operas and snapping peas. In contrast to getting old, sickly, lonely, dying slowly, feeling like a burden on her children, etc.

This is a difficult one, the antagonist is some stories is not easy to determine and is not always physical.I suspect that the antagonist in Driving Miss Daisy was prejudice or cultural differences. Miss Daisy, a Jewish widow in the south has to overcome her resistance to her growing dependence on Hoke, her African-American driver and Man-About-The-House. Miss Daisy's resistance could be said to be the antagonist too. When she walks to town to go to the Piggly Wiggly, she demonstrates this. She shows that she is concerned about what her neighbors might think, that she is too old to drive, or so wealthy that she can afford a driver.
