"Light-year" is NOT a unit of time. It is a unit of length or distance - the distance light travels in a year.
you get Mira into your party on KOTOR 2 by being a light side character when you get to Nar Shaddaa. If you are a dark side being, you will get Hanharr the Wookiee bounty hunter instead

A shooting star or meteor is a piece of rock burning up in the atmosphere. Most of these fragments formed around the same time the solar system did, so they are not millions but billions of years old. The light of the meteor itself is something you see as it happens.

HD 140283 is the oldest star. Lately estimated to be 14.5 billion years old while the universe's calculated age is just 13.8 billion years old. Of course it's not thought to be older than the universe. There are margins for error in the estimates of its age. It also nicknamed the Methuselah star because it's the oldest known star.

if you are observing a star 100 light years away, you are looking at it as it was 100 years ago.

One light-year is about 9 trillion kilometers.Arcturus is a star that is 37 light-years from Earth.
If you were 11 years old, the light leaving a star 37 ly away would reach you when you are 48 years old.The star nearest 37 ly is Eta Boötis at 36.99 light years. These stars could also be descibed as 37 ly away.Alpha Boötis is 36.72 ly.Theta Persei is 36.63 lyHR5553 is 37.62 ly.

Most observed stars and galaxies lie many many light years away from Earth. As a result, say for a star that is 5 light years away from Earth, the light we see coming from that star today or tonight was actually emitted 5 years ago from that star. Now imagine a star thousands of light years away, the light that we observe took thousands of years to travel to Earth and therefore carry an image thousands of year old.
Both. A subgiant can be a young star (1,000 years old) to an old star (10 billion years old). See related question.
It is impossible to know how far the furthest star is, since it can't be seen. The universe is said to be aprox 13.8 billion years old, it would be logical to assume that is how far it is in light years. 13.8 billion light years x 5.88 trillion miles per light years is pretty far. The sun is the closest star at 93 million miles. The next closest is, Proxima centauri which is 4.24 light years or 24.925 trillion miles away.
Vega is about 500 million years old, but it is evolving so quickly that it has already approached the midpoint of its life.
