The Savage M 775A is a Browning A5 clone as was the Remington M 11. The Savage has an alloy receiver and no square back or hump. I was made starting in 1946 until an undetermined date in the 60's It operates on the long recoil system and is of very good quality however it does not bring good prices in the used gun market Most people prefer the real thing that started it all the great Browning A5.
