The drive belt on a Peugeot 206 should be change in 80,000 miles. Failure to change drive belts at the appropriate time can result in expensive engine failure.
I have an 07 Peugeot 407sw hdi 2.0L. Two dealers told me that I should change the Cambelt at 160,000 or 9 years. Peugeot told me that I should change it at 95000 or 10 years. Confusing isn't it. Does anyone know the correct or recommended answer ?
For Peugeot 206 1.6 petrol, cambelt change should be done every 90000km or 6 years, whichever comes first.
go by the recommended mileage in the scheduled maintanence section of the owner's manual.
There is no recommended mileage interval for this procedure. When that compoonent starts showing signs of failure - replace it.
The chain will last the life of the engine and there is no recommended change interval.
80k
Change it at the interval recommended by Jeep as outlined in your owners manual. I recommend you use a High Mileage oil any major brand.
your owners manual will give you the recommended mileage as to when it should be changed, usually between 30 and 50,000 miles.
yes it should just have to change a few brackets and pipes
It should appear in the little window at the bottom of the speedometer dial. Next to it there should be a push switch to change from odometer mileage to "trip" mileage.
First thing is get it checked at a reputable garage. Check the service history if lacking any such history and or nearing 50k miles then it should be replaced as it could be an expensive job when it goes! RobC
