∙ 14y agoThey never address his age anywhere in the animated Cartoons, but in the comics, I know of one instance when he remarks himself that he's 39. ("Going Sane" from 1994). I usually place him in the same age bracket as Bruce Wayne -- so yeah, late 30s or early 40s is usually pretty accurate.
EDIT: Wait, I just remembered in the animated movie "Return of the Joker" they do make a reference to his age. The movie takes place in the Batman Beyond timeline which is supposed to be roughly 40 years after the original Batman series -- and Terry remarks that the Joker is looking pretty spry for a guy that "should be in his, what, mid 80s?" So yes again, in the original Batman series, Mister J is probably early 40s.
