Since the writers of the Biblical record do not share our modern obsession with exact dates many of these things can only be approximate. In the preceding verses to the 'stolen blessing' story Esau, of course his twin, was said to be forty years old, although sometimes these inserts may also not be chronological. But assuming it is he would have to have been at least 40.

∙ 11y agoIf Isaac was 60 years when Jacob was born, then I can only assume Isaac was 100 years old when he blessed Jacob? That would make Jacob 40 years old.
This is only my guess, which is based upon the monarchy of today, whereby the Queen remains the Queen in her older years, rather than choosing to hand the crown over to Charles. I agree with the Queen!
