What is known in The Bible was 1) Jesus started his ministry when he was thirty years old, 2) John was approximately six months younger than Jesus, and 3) John started his ministry before Jesus did, so John began preaching some time before his 30th birthday. It's not known how long John was preaching.
There is no age mentioned that I can find, but as John was given the Priesthood while still a youth he would have started his ministry early in his life.
He was approximately 27 years of age.
At that time Jesus was 30 years old.
John the Baptist's ministry was to prepare the way of the Lord and to introduce Jesus to the world as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. John's ministry was prophesied in the Old Testament (Malachi 3:1; 4:5-6) and he fulfilled it by establishing the baptism of repentance and the introducing Jesus to the world. Jesus' ministry mainly was to be the Lamb of God that John the Baptist prophesied about Jesus. To accomplish this ministry Jesus died for the sins of the world as prophesied by Old Testament prophets (Eg: Isaiah 53). To fulfill His ministry to die for the mankind, Jesus went through all the stages of human development (born, lived among people, etc) to be an ideal substitute for a human.
No John the baptist comes only in the new testament.
The four gospels all indicate that Jesus' baptism was the beginning of his public ministry. The gospels depict Jesus' baptism as part of God's plan for his life. This comes out very well in the Gospel of Luke, where the conception, and the birth of John the Baptism were surrounded by prodigious signs. John the Baptist is described as being the forerunner of Jesus. Therefore, it is not difficult to understand that Jesus' ministry would begin with his baptism by John, which was an endorsement of John's ministry, as well as being a symbol of the beginning of his own.

The term 'evangelist', in a New Testament context, refers to an author of the New Testament gospels. One of these is now known as the Gospel According to John, having been attributed to the apostle John later in the second century. Before this the Gospel was anonymous, and modern New Testament say that John was unlikely to have been the author.Having established that John was not really the author of the gospel that bears his name, it must remain anonymous - we simply do not know who wrote this, or any of the gospels. And because we don't know, we do not know how old he was or when he began his ministry.
John the baptist did not die in his mothers womb, he was beheaded by king Herod in his old age.
John the Baptist announced that Jesus was the Christ (ie the "Messiah"[Hebrew] or "Christ" [Greek]), as also foretold in Old Testament prophecies.
