In the comics, Loki was reborn several times, the last time he was born as a child suffering amnesia. He still retains some of his traits but he isn't exactly the same as the old Loki. Or at all really. He has the old Loki in his mind still but he calls him Ikol, his opposite and turns him into a magpie. This Loki is afraid of growing up so he remains a child throughout the rest of the comics. But yes, he is a good guy. Just not exactly the same person as the original Loki. Also no one ever really trusts him even as a child but Thor and Dr. Strange.
