She was 15 when she turned bad because her mother tryed to get her raised good, but her father raised her bad.
they werent. the east and west witches where close sisters in the movie and where both bad. (east was crushed my house.) the north witch, however, was the one disliked by the west witch. why? we dont know... the movie doesnt elaborate on that.
Bad Girls Club - 2006 The Wicked Witch of Key West 5-12 was released on: USA: 2 November 2010
It's kind of the point of the story/play that she isn't actually "bad". In fact, it's arguable that the "Good" witch, Glinda, is the true villain. However, assuming you're talking about the green one ... her given name is Elphaba.
Yes, in The Wizard of Oz; yes and no, in Wicked. Author and Oz series originator Lyman Frank Baum [May 15, 1856-May 5, 1919] explained that the land of Oz had been taken over by four bad witches of the East, North, South, and West. Two of the bad witches had been replaced by the Good Witch of the North, and by Glinda the Good Witch of the South. Dorothy's house landed on, and killed, the Wicked Witch of the East. That left only the Wicked Witch of the West, whom Dorothy killed with a bucket of water. Gregory Maguire [b. June 9, 1954] is one of the writers who have made contributions to the Oz series since the death of the originator. His book Wicked, on which the play of the same name is based, creates a background of abusive interactions, and a life of emotional disappointments, that had their effect on the evolving character of the Wicked Witch of the West, whom he calls Elphaba Thropp.
A villain who will not back down is the kind of character of which the wicked witch and the big bad wolf are examples.Specifically, a villain is the main character's arch enemy. That villain intends and is committed to the main character's misery. The descriptions fit both the big bad wolf in "Little Red Riding Hood" and the Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz."
The big bad wolf and the wicked witch are archetypes of evil in the good vs evil type of story... the black and white bad guys with no redeeming qualities. Most bad guys in real life aren't like that, but in stories they usually cut away the humanity to make the story clearer and easier to interpret ethically.
An actress named Margaret Hamilton played the Wicked Witch of the West, and an actress named Billie Burke played the role of Glinda the Good Witch of the North.
The wicked witch, Elphaba, sings : The Wizard and I, What is This Feeling, Something Bad, Dancing Through Life, Im Not That Girl, One Short Day, Defying Gravity, A Sentimental Man, Wonderful, As Long As Your Mine, No Good Deed, and For Good. I'm pretty sure that's it. Sorry if I missed any though.. =)

No, neither one of the Wicked Witches appears to be friends with either one of the Good Witches in the original 1900 book edition of "The Wizard of Oz."In the original book, the two bad witches are the Wicked Witches of the East and of the West. The two good witches are the Good Witch of the North and Glinda the Good of the South. In the beloved 1939 movie version of "The Wizard of Oz" likewise does it seem unlikely that the two bad witches may be considered friends of the one good witch, Glinda the Good of the North. But in "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West," a subsequently published prequel by Gregory Maguire (b. June 9, 1954), the two bad witches are given the names of Nessarose of the East and Elphaba of the West. Elphaba and Glinda the Good start out on bad terms, but end up fast friends. Given the roller coater start to their interaction, it is entirely believable that the two go from enmity to friendship to back to enmity.
Billie Burke and Margaret Hamilton played the witches in "The Wizard of Oz."Specifically, Billie Burke (August 7, 1884 - May 14, 1970) played Glinda the Good Witch. Margaret Hamilton (December 9, 1902 - May 16, 1985) played the Wicked Witch of the West. No one played the Wicked Witch of the East, of whom only the feet were shown sticking out from under Dorothy Gale's house.
Oh, dude, Dorothy straight-up throws a bucket of water on the Wicked Witch of the West. Like, apparently, the witch melts or something because she's allergic to water or forgot her umbrella that day. It's like the ultimate "oops, my bad" moment in Oz.
