That sounds like a model 1900. They made about 100,000 from 1900-1910, I don't have the serial date for that but it's probably 1901.
I don't see dbl in Remington, if you mean the dbl in general when when referring to a Remington firearm that's double as in double barrel shotgun, derringer, etc.
Some brands of the double barrel shot guns includes, Stoeger, Remington and Winchester. The price for the double barrel shot gun can range from over $1000, depending on the collection.
Steel or Damascus barrels?
Model 24 is a semi-auto 22.
Remington did not make a 44 cal double barrel pistol. The did however make a 41 cal (rimfire) the double derringer. (model 95) There's 3 type's, 5 models, and at least 15 variations some of which are quite valuable.
i have the same serial # and i found out that it was a 1973 remington and it shoots like hell i hate it its to old
i believe somewhere around 1894 with numbers starting with 1 and 2 models in the 3-to 4 seriel number range are 1900
I have a 12 gauge shotgun with the numbers 4041 on it. It has a double barrel and double trigger and hammerless. Could someone tell me what year it was made?

Does it read "kec" or "ked"? The Remington web site indicates 4 grades of Remington model 1900 double barrel shotguns (http://www.remington.com/library/history/firearm_models/shotguns/model_1900.asp): Grades Offered: K - Remington steel barrelsKE - Remington steel, auto ejectorsKD - 2 stripe Damascus barrelsKED - 2 strip Damascus, auto ejectors
Depends on the model and condition. It can be worth nothing to several thousand.
We have SOME original parts for that model, we make others. sales@countrygunsmith.net
