CJ is asked to undertake yet another dangerous mission by Mike Toreno, and this mission "Vertical Bird" entails CJ getting aboard a military vessel in San Fierro, and stealing a Hydra vertical take off jet (based on the real life Harrier jump jet). Once CJ has taken the jet, he has to destroy some spy ships for Toreno, and then he is able to take the Hydra back to his base at the disused airstrip in Verdant Meadows, and keep it there.
