This is a matter for all preachers to answer & I doubt if you can get them together, so you will just have to leave it up to God.
Every Sunday, Preachers get paid for performing the Church Service which includes reading from the Bible and a pastoral service for which they are paid. Families pay preachers to speak at funerals, which often includes Bible readings. Preachers get paid for their service in performing a funeral service. "Readers" of the Bible during church services sometimes receive a nominal fee. Famous religious speakers receive a fee for Speaking Engagements, such as at a commencement/graduation, and they often relate part of their speeches to Bible passages. Companies pay individuals to record Bible on Tape for resale. Some churches/organizations use Bible Contests that give a reward (prize) to children or teens for their recall of Bible Chapters, Verses, characters, etc. So, no. It is not a sin to pay someone to read the Bible.
Some of them read the bible, but most are Muslim so they read the Koran.

One thought is that the Bible can be taken to most public areas and read and studied. The Bible can be read and studied at home inside or outside. Most certainly in some countries the Bible can be taken into church.
The sacred text that the Amish use is the Bible. Those of the Amish faith are Christian. The Amish also have a set of rules governing how they should live their lives, this set of rules is called the Ordnung.

the earliest christians were able to read the bible...if they could read. Once the bible was translated to latin in the vulgate, it became out of reach for most believers. This was done because latin was the language of the educated. What kept them from reading was not that they weren't allowed but that they didn't have a bible and they couldn't read latin.
