AnswerA pharaoh became pharaoh by either

a)birthright (Akhenaten)

b)invasion and capture (Nubian pharaohs)

c)marriage to royal (Ay)

d)or just laying claim to the throne (Hatshepsut)

a)birthright meant that the eldest son of the pharaoh by the royal wife had the right to the throne, followed by his full male siblings, then his half male siblings(eg. son by his father and another wife/woman of the harem).

c)marriage to royal eg. vizier Ay laid claim to the throne of Egypt by marrying his granddaughter, Anakhsenamun (Tutanhkhamun's widow, chief wife of Egypt). Through this, he gave himself the right to the throne.
