This depends very much on the type of reactor. PWR's operate at a high pressure in the primary circuit to prevent boiling, and the outlet water temperature is about 315 degC. In BWR's in contrast, boiling is allowed and the outlet temperature is about 285 degC. Gas cooled reactors can operate at much higher temperatures. In the AGR for example (CO2 cooled, graphite moderated) the gas outlet temperature is designed to be about 540 degC, which allows steam to be produced at conditions the same as in a modern coal fired station, in fact at the last two built the steam turbines were exactly the same as installed in coal fired stations at that time. At these temperatures all steel components in the reactor have to be austenitic, as CO2 oxidises normal steel, and re-entrant gas flow has to be arranged to keep the graphite moderator cool, the gas inlet being at about 300degC. Designs exist for helium cooled gas reactors which could operate even hotter and drive a gas turbine directly, without a steam circuit. These may or may not be commercially exploited.
Solenoids operate by means of electro-magnetic force when a current is passed through them. Iron is easily magnetised and is the only choice for the core.

No. The inner and outer core are both composed primarily of iron and nickel, but the outer core is liquid and surrounds the inner core. The inner core is the innermost layer of Earth and is kept solid by the enormous pressure.

The definition of the term "core competencies" is a factor relevant to the way the company or it's employees operate. You can learn more about core competency at the Wikipedia.
A core in the electrical trade usually refers to the iron laminations that coils of wire are wrapped around. The core directs the magnetic field, that the coils of wire produce when energized, into a working force. This could be the iron core of a relay or a transformer core that is the centre and principle reason that a transformer can operate.
Effective information systems help businesses operate smoothly. They encourage interdepartmental communication, which promotes synergy and the ability to excel in core competencies.

Most banks in India offer branch free banking or core banking. If you have an account with the bank you can operate it in any of the bank's branches. This may attract charges as applicable but you can operate it anywhere. There are also some smaller banks that offer only branch specific banking. you will not be able to operate those accounts anywhere else. Almost all banks have migrated or are migrating to core banking.
As a transformer requires an alternating magnetic flux within its core, then the current flowing in its primary winding must be alternating.
No. Transformers operate on the principle of conversion of electric current to and from magnetism. Optic fiber is not ferromagnetic, nor is it conductive.

It means that there are two cores on one chip. It is sort of like gluing two single core processors together if that helps to visualize it. It is good for multitasking because each program can use one core and some can use both at once. Both Cores operate at 1 GHz.
