It's hard to say just how popular the anime is. The manga is only two volumes long, and extremely confusing at first glance, and even second and third, so many people don't get past that and give up on the series. Guys especially seem to enjoy this, while girls don't. It may have to do with the fact that there's very little plot structure or story, which is what girls appear to enjoy more. So, popularity doesn't really matter, but if you want to find someone who will share your interest in the anime, I would suggest talking to otaku guys before asking girls.
FLCL originated in the country of Japan. This anime series was extremely popular when it was first released, and remained extremely popular even though it was quite short.

fooly cooly or flcl for short.
Doubtful, the manga goes beyond the anime i think, best to read it up online.
FLCL (Fooly Cooly) has a character named Naota Nandaba who has robots come out of his head although I'm not sure if this is the anime you were asking about .
absolutely. FLCL. classically random as hell and the meaning and actual plot of the 6-episode series has been debated and argued about for years! xD;
Samurai Champloo, Bleach and Full Metal Alchemist have things in common with those three.
No, FLCL is complete at 6 episodes with no animated spinoffs or prequels. It does, however, have a 3 volume light novel adaption and a 2 volume manga adaption.
Discography of FLCL was created on 2000-10-04.
