A watt is not a unit of energy, it is a unit of power. Power refers to energy transfer per unit time; a watt is one joule/second. For comparison, a fluorescent light-bulb uses somewhere between 15-40 watts; an electric shower may use about 3 kW (3000 watts).
a kilowatt is 1000 watts
Note that a kilowatt is a unit of power, not energy. How much energy is involved depends on how long the power level is sustained.
About 10 watts
More Watts equals more power. So once you have decided which is bigger, 10 or 12.5, that is the one with more power.
10,000 watts (10 Kilowatts).
It's watts divided by volts equals amps. Example: 1200 watts at 120 volts is 10 amps. To get the watts if you know the amps, multiply the amps times the volts. 10 amps at 120 volts is 1200 watts.
Watts = Amps x Volts Amps = Watts / Volts you only need to know two of the three to work out the other so 230 volts at 10 amps gives 2300 Watts (2.3 kW) 2.3kW at 230 volts draws 10 Amps
1 MW = 10 to the power 6 Watts (in the new wiki answers type face).
it can be more that 1000 watts (strong enough to kill you!)
it can be more that 1000 watts (strong enough to kill you!)
10,000,000 watts
About 10 watts
There is zero watts in 10 amps.
Herbert Watts died on 1934-10-15.
Sam Watts was born on 1990-09-10.
Danielle Watts was born on 1980-10-13.
The watt is a measurement of power. In electrical circuit, to determined watts there is a formula volts x amps = watts
That depends how powerful the turbines are and how many the dam has.
More Watts equals more power. So once you have decided which is bigger, 10 or 12.5, that is the one with more power.
