Depakote is a safe medication. It's dependant on what your dose is, what your illness is, how your health is prior to taking it. There are so side effects to this med that can be serious if not kept in check or you have prior health conditions. You should let your doctor know before taking Seroquel if you have liver disease or other problems with your liver ,heart disease or other heart problems such as high blood pressure, a previous ,heart attack, or irregular heartbeats, high levels of cholesterol or triglycerides (types of fat) in your blood, seizures or epilepsy, hypothyroidism. You may not be able to take Seroquel, or you may require a dosage adjustment or special monitoring during treatment. It's a good medication, there are a lot of people that take it for sleep, manic episodes associated with bipolar, schizophrenia. Check out the links section. It might be helpful:) Be carefull to use this medicine for long term. My wife developed the following symptoms after continue taking for two years. Hand trembling, difficult to move the body like develop the stroke, cannot control the urine, always fall down to floor when she bent over. After stopping this medicine, all of the problem went away.
