How safe is it for my boyfriend to give me oral if he doesn't have a cold sore present but hardly gets them?

Cold sores tend to only pass from person to person during an inflammation (when a cold sore is present). Still, even so, on occassion they will pass during dry periods. Take precausions when engaging in oral activities with someone who is prone to having cold sores.

∙ 11y agoIf he doesn't have any signs or symptoms of a cold sore you're safe to have oral sex. Oral herpes is not likely to be passed in between break outs.
