By waves smashing against the sea walls
The main types of caves are solution caves, lava caves, sea caves, glacier caves, and talus caves. Solution caves form from the dissolution of soluble rocks like limestone; lava caves are created by flowing lava; sea caves are carved by the action of waves on coastal cliffs; glacier caves form within glaciers due to melting and refreezing processes; and talus caves are formed by fallen rocks creating cave-like structures.
They are both caves
Sea stacks, sea arches, and sea caves are all landforms created by the erosive forces of waves on coastal cliffs and rock formations. As waves continuously crash against the shore, they erode softer rock, leading to the formation of caves. Over time, these caves can develop into arches when the roof collapses due to further erosion. Eventually, isolated columns of rock, known as sea stacks, can form when the arch collapses completely, leaving a vertical pillar standing in the water.
