Rahima Moosa was a prominent anti-apartheid activist and a key figure in the fight for women's rights in South Africa. She was a member of the African National Congress (ANC) and played a significant role in organizing protests and advocating for social justice. Moosa's commitment to education and women's empowerment made her a vital voice in the struggle against oppression, and she contributed to the establishment of various organizations that focused on empowering women. Her legacy continues to inspire generations of activists in South Africa and beyond.
Rahima Moosa was still very active in the struggle for freedom until the sixties when she was listed and under constant serveillance by the security police. She lived out her days raising her four children to always continue the struggle for freedom. She tought her children and grandchildren to fight for what is right and what they believe in. Not a day went by withouht her always believing that South Africa will be a glorious rainbow nation. Unfortunately she never lived long enough to see that beautiful day when millions stood in line to cast their vote in the first democratic elections in April 1994. Rahima Moosa was my grandmother and I will never ever forget the lessons she tought me about always having the courage to fight for my beliefs and dreams. She was the bravest most fearless woman I knew and only hope to live my life as well as she did. Sherazaad Raima Moosa
