Okay, I just tried to clean my white-cloth shoes with a scotch rag and softsoap. I'll let them dry in the sun since it's 104 degrees here. So far, it looks like the green from the scotch rag worn off a little on my shoes. I may have to get them sitting in bleach. I read somewhere that you should set the shoes in mild dish detergent with a little bleach. Maybe I'll try that one, but for the momento, I don't recommend what I did in the first place. :)
Mix some white vinegar with water. Gently moisten the spot, let sit a moment, and then rub off with a clean white cloth. Rinse the cloth and repeat. There should be no residue from the vinegar mixture to rinse off.
Get a soft, silky cloth (material) and rub it smoothly. Make sure it's dry.
AnswerLeather shoes or boots: Mix one tablespoon of white vinegar in one cup of water. Dip a clean soft rag in the liquid, then wipe the salt stains. Allow to dry and your shoes should be good as new! Use good old Vaseline to tender the leather.
unfortunately you have to keep washing it until the red or most likly pink is gone
A polishing cloth works great to remove tarnish from white and yellow gold. To clean gold jewelry use a solution of half Mr. Clean and water with a small amount of ammonia. Soak for 15 seconds then rinse with water and dry. If the white gold ring has a yellow tint, you may need to bring the ring into a jewelry store to have it rhodium plated again.

If you are trying to remove a stain from white satin wedding shoes, you can use a gentle detergent like Woolite. Using just a bit of the detergent, rub the stain gently with a small, soft cloth (or you can just use your fingers). Using a circular motion works best. Once the stain is removed, use a clean cloth dabbed in water to rinse the spot. Then use a towel to pat the spot dry. Then allow the shoes to air dry.
first you spray some smelly stuff in the shoe then if that doesn't work put them in the washerSimply putting them in the washer will NOT work. Trust me I've tried several times - at least if the shoes are cloth. The smell seems to come out of suede and faux leathers fine but even when cloth shoes are washed with bleach and white vinegar the smell remains.
a damp cloth works...depending on how bad the white marks are
