yes because it needs to be clean if not you need to get it cleaned
You definitely can't hide a ring. Go to you piercer and ask for a glass retainer instead. You'll probably have to pay for the new jewelry but it will already be cleaned.
All retainers should be cleaned properly. You can clean your retainer with a toothbrush, however, we advise using specialized retainer cleaner (or denture cleaner). When brushing and flossing, fixed retainers should be cleaned as well. Additionally, we advise against washing your retainer in hot water to expose it to extreme heat as this could cause the retainer to stretch into a different form.
When using a piercing gun (such as those they use at Claires) the collapse of your ear cartilage is a possibility. Also, with any piercing, there is the chance of infection if not cleaned properly as instructed by your piercer.
Piercings need to be cleaned daily just like you need to shower or bathe the piercing needs to be cleaned. Body oils can build up and the piercing will start to smell, that's not in your top ten list of things you want happening, so rinse the piercing out daily.
Always keep the area around the piercing clean by scrubbing it gently with soap and water. Do not place hydrogen peroxide on the piercing because its effects could be detrimental.
I never got lightheaded when i cleaned mine. I only did when i took mine out and changed it. Everyone is different in their piercing though.
Yes it isn't uncommon. The piercing may not have jewellery in it however dirt, bacteria and other nasty things can still enter the old piercing site and cause it to abscess Navel piercing sites need to be cleaned regardless of there being jewellery in the piercing or not.
No it's not infected because you were a smart bunny, when you got home you had a nice shower and cleaned your piercing out. Right, of course you did.
Well with no jewellery in it and it not being cleaned out on a regular basis, something has gotten into the actual piercing and is causing irritation to the piercing. Wash the piercing with warm running water and soap give it a good rinse and the irritation should cease.
Yes you can put retainers in just about any piercing, just be sure to do it after you have cleaned the piercings, it makes getting the retainers in a bit easier.
performed quickly and without anesthesia by either a spring-loaded ear-piercing gun or piercing needles, with the needle diameter varying from six to 18 gauge. The skin is cleaned, then the needle and jewelry are inserted through the tissue
