Well it all depends on your objective. To me, her objective is to get Sweeney Todd to marry her and forget his wife. She is the real villain of the story. She is a very manipulative character. She is also very smart. I would suggest looking at Stephen Sondheims lyrics for her songs to get a goof feel for her character. In her first song "Worst Pies in London" whe is very talkative and cannot stay on one subject for long. But in her next song "Poor Thing" she has already realized who Todd is and is telling the story of his wife, knowing that she will get him to reveal his identity to her. She seems scattered and disheveled but really she is smart, manipulative, and sly. The whole plot is really her own doing. She convinces Todd to kill many people to benefit her shop. She stops him from killing the judge when he had the chance. She is the villain. Todd is simply a man who is manipulated by her. If he would have killed the judge that first time, he would have gotten his revenge, finally met his daughter, and might have found his wife! She is the cause of everything. It's such a great part to play in an amazing show!
This is the music from the movie, which is based on a hit Broadway musical. 1.No Place Like London- Antony and Sweeney Todd are on their way to London. This dreary song shows Antony's hopeful attitude and the truth from the experiences of Sweeney Todd. 2.The Worst Pies in London- Mrs. Lovett sings of how nobody wants the pies that she makes. She knows why, too. They taste just dreadfully awful. This spiel would not make anybody want to have a taste. 3.Poor Thing- Mrs. Lovett sings of a man that once lived in the room upstairs and of his tragic tale of love and loss. By the end, Todd gives it away that he IS the mysterious Benjamin Barker she was singing of. 4.My Friends- This is another duet between Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney Todd. He sings to his knives that he so dearly missed while they have been buried away in the upstairs friend. She sings to him in an almost haunting longing for his companionship and love. 5. Green Finch and Linnett Bird- Johanna sings of being locked away like the green finch. She wants to know how this bird can still sing even when it is locked away in such a small cage when it should be out in the bird. The metaphorical song shows Johanna's loneliness. 6.Alms, Alms - This short song is the between the beggar woman and atony warning of troubles to come. 7. Johanna- Antony sings of the maiden locked away. Although he has only seen and heard her, he longs to be with her. 8.Pirelli's Miracle Elixir- Toby sings of the miraculous elixir that can make anybody's hair grow. Todd and Lovett sing in opposition trying to make the crowd realize that it is a scam. 9.The Contest- Pirelli and Todd sing in a shave off to see who can shave the fastest and cleanest. It seems as though Pirelli will win, but Todd pulls out a win in the end. 10. Wait- This song is just of Mrs. Lovett trying to calm everyone down. 11.Ladies in Their Sensitivities- In the song, Beadle and the Judge sing of "wooing" Johanna into being the Judge's. This sets up his need to go to the barber. 12.Pretty Woman- Todd and the Judge have a song of "small talk". Right when he least expects it, Sweeney raises his knife at the end of the song.... And then, an interuption 13. Epiphany- Sweeney Todd is angry at his failed murder. In this song, Sweeney Todd decides he will kill as much as he has to until he can get to the one throat he most longs for. 14.A Little Priest- Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett sing a dark, twisted song of what to do with all the men that Todd is going to kill. It is just the boost to buisness that Mrs. Lovett needs. 15.Johanna (Reprise) - Antony and Todd sing of the beautiful Johanna while the begger still tries to warn against the horrible evils lurking around Fleet Street. 16.God, That's Good! - Again the begger woman is lurking around. Everyone marvels over the new and improved pies of Mrs. Lovett. Toby tries to attract costumers in for a taste. 17.By the Sea- Mrs. Lovett dreams of a wonderful, romantic life married to Sweeney Todd and living in a cute little house by the sea. 18.Not While I'm Around- Toby is beginning to grow aware of Todd's mysterious doings. He swears to protect Mrs. Lovett from the deranged man. Little does he know, she is in on it as well. 19. In the Final song, Todd kills the beggar woman and then discovers that it is truly his wife. Antony hides Johanna where she is almost killed, until Todd realizes who she is. Todd also betrays Judge and finally has at him. He turns on Mrs. Lovett for lying to him about his wife, Lucy, and throws her in the oven. Toby, who they were searching for then "surprises" Todd and ends his life.
From what I have seen she should be due on January 20th with a baby girl.
im guessing you mean epiphany and the lyrics are... I had him! His throat was there beneath my hand. No, I had him! His throat was there and now he'll never come again. Mrs. Lovett: Easy now, hush love hush I keep telling you, Whats your rush? Todd: When? Why did I wait? You told me to wait - Now he'll never come again. There's a hole in the world like a great black pit And it's filled with people who are filled with sh*t And the vermin of the world inhabit it. But not for long... They all deserve to die. Tell you why, Mrs. Lovett, tell you why. Because in all of the whole human race Mrs. Lovett, there are two kinds of men and only two There's the one staying put in his proper place And the one with his foot in the other one's face Look at me, Mrs Lovett, look at you. No, we all deserve to die Tell you why, Mrs. Lovett, tell you why. Because the lives of the wicked should be made brief For the rest of us death will be a relief We all deserve to die. And I'll never see Johanna No I'll never hug my girl to me - finished! Alright! You sir, you sir, how about a shave? Come and visit your good friend Sweeney. You sir, too sir? Welcome to the grave. I will have vengenance. I will have salvation. Who sir, you sir? No ones in the chair, Come on! Come on! Sweeney's. waiting. I want you bleeders. You sir! Anybody! Gentlemen now don't be shy! Not one man, no, nor ten men. Nor a hundred can assuage me. I will have you! And I will get him back even as he gloats In the meantime I'll practice on less honorable throats. And my Lucy lies in ashes And I'll never see my girl again. But the work waits! I'm alive at last! And I'm full of joy!
because if it was true then it should be quarantined for all of the dead bodies and blood. . .
