There are a number of different ways, that this can be done. it all depends on
a) the type of boat you have
b) the length of time they have been in the water & can they help themselves.
c) weather conditions.
In most circumstances you can approach them from down wind and make contact at the shoulder of the boat. (Just behind the bow) once contact has been made switch off engine if safe to do so. the best technique is to have the person in water face away from boat and then 2 people to hold under the arm pits and dunk 3 times then on 3rd dunk pull upwards to bring casualty on to side of boat. Tell the person in the water what you are going to do first. the positive buoyancy helps lift them clear of the water. It works better if they have a personal flotation device on.
Always wear a lifejacket.
It means that someone is in the water and other boat drivers should be cautious of the person in the water.
Turn off the engine.
If pulling a live person into a small boat you must instruct them to help as much as they can. As you start pulling the person in you must take the time to even out the weight by carefully leaning back. As you finally get the floater into the boat both of you must get back to the center boat. Otherwise the boat will tip.
There's a couple things you should do when someone on their boat falls overboard. The first thing you should do is scream "MAN OVERBOARD." The captain should stop the boat and someone has to keep an eye on the person that fell over. You then throw a flotation device into the water where the person is and pull them in.
Camping supplies should be stored in a water tight container or bag when stored on a small boat. These type of storage bags can be found in the camping and hunting section of most stores.

If you have a small boat that capsizes in a stream you should try to roll it over. If the stream is shallow this should be easy.
How often should you change water pump in a boat
Often when someone jumps or falls off of a small boat, there will be some instability felt, and on a very small boat it can cause the boat to flip. But, if you are relating this to physics, you will note that the mass of the boat (and cargo) would have decreased, say by 100 Kilos when the diver went overboard. This would mean that about 100 liters less of water will be displaced by the boat, and it would ride higher in the water.
Don't stand up in a small boat.
stay with the boat and signal for help.
A boat is a small vehicle manually or mechanically powered for transportation in water.
