HI my name is jesse i've been trying to pass the asvab too. I need a score of about 50 or more to join the marines i have books to study but still i can't pass the test do u know a good book to get to study?
I found this website that should help tremendously with ASVAB prep: http://www.testprepreview.com/asvab_practice.htm. They have broken down the test into several different categories to help you study so the more you practice the more likely that you will suceed.
The most recommended book is McGraw-Hill's ASVAB. It has a comprehensive review of all the areas on the ASVAB, practice tests, items with explanations, word lists for you to study, math items to work on with explanations given, test taking hints for both the paper/pencil and computer versions, and 4, full-length practice tests. The practice tests will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses so that you can concentrate your study in the right places.
for me , it was the shop section, even though i have had prior auto shop work experience they also throw in some wood shop stuff i didn't really know. take a pretest on-line or a highly recommend purchasing at least 1 asvab study book.
They are two different tests. The asvab is s military based test; therefore there is different vocabulary. I recommend studying for the test you take. If taking the asvab you can get study guides on post.
You should cite the study and then say you got it from your textbook.
The "ASVAB for Dummies" book can be purchased where ever books are sold. Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and eBay. ASVAB stands for Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery and it is usually taken in high school.
None of the practice test questions you'll find in study guides or online are from the actual test. The military makes it very clear what format and type of questions are on the test so the creators of practice tests take that information and create their own questions that mimic those found on the actual test. So, they're good for studying but they're not the questions on the actual ASVAB.
You can buy a book it actually one made specific for the asvab or there are websites you can go on when r u going to take your test?
Get a book (Kaplan, Princeton Review, etc) and study, study, and study!
