In general, Christians worship by gathering together, reading the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures (the Old and New Testaments of The Bible) and praying. Most Christians also have music in worship, with singing. Many Christians follow the "liturgical calendar," which allows Christians throughout the world to read the same Bible passages on the same day. In addition, most worship services include a sermon, homily, or some type of teaching or exhortation.

Christian worship often includes the Eucharist (Thanksgiving) or Lord's Supper, also called Communion, in which the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ is celebrated in the ritual of breaking and eating bread and drinking wine. While some churches believe that the bread and wine are transformed into to the actual body and blood of the Savior, other churches teach that the meaning is symbolic, and encourages remembrance of the Last Supper and passion of Christ.

In the Roman Catholic Church, the daily worship service is called the Mass, in which the Eucharist is always the center of worship. Other churches may celebrate Communion daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly (4 x year.)

How do you you know whom to worship and whom not to?

Whom you should worship and whom you should not worship depends on your religious affiliation. For example, if you are a Jew or a Muslim, you should worship God (or Allah) and no one else. If you are a Christian, you should worship God and Jesus but no one else. If you are a Zoroastrian, you should worship Ahura Mazda and no one else. Some religions have several gods, all of whom you should normally worship. Your religious leaders or your scriptures would give you advice on which gods to worship. The Dao religion has its own gods, but fully accepts the worship of any other God or gods that you wish to worship. Ask God to guide you to the . He will.
