How since Jesus made Gods name Jehovah known prayed for its holyness and worshiped Jehovah does christiandom not?

Technically, Jesus didn't make the name Jehovah known during His earthly ministry, that had been used as a name for God by the Israelites for hundreds of years by that point. However, it isn't the only name or title used for God throughout The Bible, or even the only one used by Jesus. There are a number of variations on it which describe certain qualities of God, and then there are the completely independent ones such as YHVH and I Am. Most of the time that you see "The Lord" appear in the Bible, it's actually replacing YHVH; and I Am is the one God told Moses to introduce Him as, which was later referenced by Jesus when asked if He was greater than Abraham ("Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I Am." John 8:58 [NASB]) and got Him accused of blasphemy.
Given all of this, Christendom does use Jehovah as a title for God. We also use its variant forms, as well as Yahweh (a modern attempt to make YHVH pronounceable) and I Am. We do not limit ourselves to one title, because He didn't throughout the Bible, and each of them shines some light on the personality and nature of God in different ways.
