Stay out of the sun (shade), spread out so their is more surface area on their body for the air to cool them, drink water etc. Possums are nocturnal (they only come out at night time when it's cooler anyway).
When there is a massive heat wave lots of them usually die, firstly because of their fur, and also... since hot air rises and they're stuck up trees...well it's like they're own personal sauna.
It's pretty sad cause they drop out of trees.
An esky is a cool box. The name comes from an Australian brand name. The reason it keeps food cold is that it is well insulated, so that heat from the surroundings takes a long time to get in.
A possum is a marsupial, so the young joey is raised in the mother's pouch. Here it will stay for several months, attached permanently to a teat, until it is old enough to emerge from the pouch. It will spend several more months clinging to its mother's back, ravelling with her as she forages for food.
No. True possums (those that are native to Australia) do not currently carry diseases which are transmissible to humans. The only disease a person is likely to get if bitten by a possum is tetanus from an untreated wound. Some believe that possums carry rabies, but no rabies is present in either Australia or New Zealand. However, New Zealand possums are subject to a form of bovine tuberculosis which has so far been shown to be transmissible between cattle, possums and ferrets. This form of TB has not been found in Australian possums, and has not been shown to be transmissible to humans. In North America, however, it is a different situation. The body temperature of an opossum is generally too low to harbour the virus: it is possible, although highly unlikely, for an opossum to carry the rabies virus. There is at least one documented case of a rabid opossum biting a child.
A vacuum is a good insulator so a "thermos" bottle will keep liquids 8or solids) cool for a while.
to keep them company so they have a small and cool pet to keep!
they mostly keep warm under trees so that no one can see them ,but the sun can still come in so they can keep warm!
an elephant uses its ears to keep cool by flapping them around its head therefor keeping it cool

To keep it cool.
To keep thing cool / cold.
Possums are protected native creatures of Australia and may not be kept as pets, so the question is moot.
To get to the other side. XD Actually the facts are they get food sometimes in the water and also so they can get clean.
