When I got pregnant with my daughter, my husband and I had only been trying for a few weeks. I got curious and took an HPT before I missed my period. It was positive. So, in that case anyways it was only a matter of maybe 1 week since I took the test about a week before my period was supposed to begin. Right now though, we are not trying to have another child, and I have missed my period by about 2 weeks and I have had dull uterine cramps and have been feeling really tired, just like I felt during my first pregnancy... But I have taken 2 HPT's and both were negative. I still think I might be though. So I guess each pregnancy is different for each woman. I would suggest going to your doctor and having a blood test done. That can tell you yes or no even before the HPT can! Good luck!

If you think that's a possibility, you repeat the pregnancy test in two weeks. Depo provera will not end or harm an existing pregnancy; if you're pregnant, you can still choose to continue or end the pregnancy.
