The literature says to allow as long as 6 weeks.
However when I was placed on depakote for Bipolar disorder, I was feeling that something was different within about 3 days of the first dose (although I was not sure what was different at that time).
It's been longer then a week and the hot flashes are still present.
Some side effects may appear instantly (e.g. stomach upset) but others may take months or years.
No form of Depakote can be crushed. If a patient can not take pills whole you would want to see if the MD would switch the patient to Depakote Sprinkles that can be mixed in with food or to the liquids form
It may be, for some people.
Original response: Click on the link below. (This referenced the link "Depakote and Alzheimer's disease") From: Dan I added another link to an article about Alz and Depakote. To the original questioner: it is not clear if you are asking "will Depakote, used for something else, have a positive or negative effect on the patient's Alz?" or "is Depakote used as a treatment for Alz?" It does appear that Depakote is being used as a treatment in some cases. That would imply that it would have a positive effect on the Alz, if it was being used for something else - but obviously the doctor must take drug interactions into account, or over-medication if something else is already being used for the Alz. As an RN in a long-term facility, I have see Depakote used very successfully in patients with various types of dementia. It is usually used as a mood stabilizer to smooth out the extreme highs and lows (aggression and depression). Don
it makes you see things.
It makes you see forever.

I'm not exactly sure from a medical standpoint if it is considered "ok" but i do take depakote 500mg once a day prescribed for mood stabilization and i have smoked marijuana 5 or so times while on it. i have not seen any side effects to my health or my mood. hope this helps. ive been smoking and taking depakote 1500mg daily for 14 years and i have less seisures when im smoking! drinking is much worse on your liver and u dont want that. i havent seemed to see any conflictions between the meds except ambitionlessness and maybe over metabolizing your depakote. check for sure but it cant be two severe im still kickin! good luck
yes, go and see a specialist
There are none of either because marijuana is not bad for your body to a degree that you can see effects of short and long term. Possible laziness?
You have to do research over time to see what the effects would be. Most of the studies have not been done long enough to see the true effects.

Snorting it should be instant, so the effects should happen as soon as u snort it.
