I called to make an appointment the day I had a positive test at home. They will let you know when you should be seen. My doctor didn't see me until I was 8 weeks along, but I did have a nurse visit at 6 weeks to give me paper for lab work and all the basic info about being pregnant.
When my cousin went to the doctor after having a positive home test, they didn't even run a test on her. They said that the home test don't give false positives, though they may not give a positive when you are pregnant. Earlier consultation with a doctor or medical professional will allow you to insure that you are taking the best care of the baby as possible.
NO! Home pregnancy test can be wrong. Sometimes HCG levels in a woman can be abnormally high causing a false answer. Doctor's test are (I believe) 95-97% accurate. If you want to be…." positive" ;) go to a doctor.
No. Go to your doctor and find out what you want to do.
It is possible to get a false positive on a pregnancy test, but highly improbable. I once went in the doctor after taking a home pregnancy test and the doctor basically said that he would not test again, because they use the same test and I was pregnant. But, I did get a false positive as a teenager and the 2nd test was negative. Take a 2nd test.
No. You should see a doctor to be 100% sure.
You should have a positive pregnancy test during the entire pregnancy. The hormone levels are the highest from 10 to 14 weeks and a home pregnancy test will be the "strongest" positive then.
ASAP! :-) Congratulations!
A home pregnancy test is most likely to be accurate if it is positive meaning if you had a negative test you should be monitoring if you could be pregnant. You could have taken the home test too early to detect pregnancy. The best thing to do is to go to the doctor and get a test done there to rule out pregnancy.
How do you know your HCG levels are high? It is not unusual to be pregnant and not have any symptoms. If you have a positive home pregnancy test you should assume you are pregnant and see a doctor. HCG is most commonly associated with pregnancy, but could indicate other health issues if it is elevated outside of pregnancy.
I think you will find that if 5 home tests have resulted in a positive reading, you are most certainly pregnant. I think that you should make an appointment with your doctor to make sure you are well and to discuss what will happen over the next 9 months.
I had the same thing happen to me. I took several home pregnancy tests that came back positive. I went to the doctor they did a blood test and it came back as negative. They sent me to hospital to do a 48 hour hormone test and determined I was miscarraging the baby. You should ask your doctor if this is hapening to you. Hope this helps.
Big Fat Positive generally means the confirmation that someone is pregnant. It is thought to refer to getting a positive pregnancy test result either at home or at the doctor's surgery.
