How sugarcane juice is preserved?

Hi,

TamilNadu University has the know-how for preserving sugarcane juice. It can be preserved for a maximum period of 6 months by adding Sodium Benzoate at 125 ppm. You can find more information at http://www.tnau.ac.in/tech/implements/proc7-1.htm

Preservative choices include Sodium Benzoate 0.05 to 0.2%, Potassium Sorbate 1%,Fumaric acid 0.2-0.5%, Metabisulfite 0.05%

for me it is freezing..because it is a juice and when you didn't make it empty, you can put it first in the refrigerator or in the freezer so you can drink it anytime that you want.
