generally 4 and a half inches is the average for star wars but be aware there are several diffrent figures from diffrent sets out there. some are lego figure size (maybe 2-3cm) others are 1:6 scale and are fairly large, for the dedicated fans you can even but life size action figures measuring around 2metres (i think that equates to 6'5 not sure)
Taj Mahal LEGO Set is Largest Ever at 5922 PiecesThe real Taj Mahal took 21 years to build and it may very well take you close to that long to build the Lego Taj Mahal kit since it's the largest LEGO set ever produced at 5922 pieces. Designed for the experienced LEGO builder, the Taj Mahal when build will measure over 20″ square and 16″ tall. The Taj Mahal is considered to be the world's finest example of Mughal architecture and the LEGO version has all the elements that make it beautiful from the base, minarets, domes, finials, arches, to the stairs in the front! Pretty impressive!
Distract him! Give him a toy... think what he's into. If he likes Lego, get him some Lego and ask him to build you a Lego Castle, a foot tall. That will obviously take a while. If he's not enthusiastic about it, say you'll give him his favourite chocolate/candy bar if he does it. When he's really busy and into it, say you're going to study and leave him to it xD
