285/85/16 = 35.1x11.2/16
Yes and not, well the tires 285 75 16 fit in stock durango and Dakota if you have the 2" lift... if not the tire will rubing...
Not a good idea, that's a far wider tire than you had originally. It may not even fit on the same rim safely.
31.6" tall and 10.4" wide.
No, this is a horrible swap. The 285 tire will be 2.77" larger in diameter. Your speedometer will show 60 mph at an actual speed of 65.07 mph.
i have a 1968 ford f250 high boy its stock tire size is 235/85/16 but it will clear 35 inch tires or some 285/75/16
if its a 16 in wheel and 1988-1998 then biggest is a 285/75 R16
On a 1994 Chevy Z-71 I had 285/75-16 (roughly 33x11.5-16) with slight rubbing at on A-arms at steer lock
According to the ranger station . com the 285 x 75 x 16 tire is ( 32.8 inches ) in diameter
The 235/75/16 is larger.
Slight rubbing but it should be fine. Might have to trim some plastic. NO, this is too large a tire for this vehicle. The OEM size is 265/75-16 and that is what you should install. The 285/75-16 tire is 3.63% larger and you should never go over 2.99%. Your speedometer will read 57.8 at a true 60 mph. Your truck will use more fuel, and your handling, braking, and ride will be adversely effected.
Of course you can but you should not. The 70 series tire will have a 1" smaller diameter than the 75 series tire. Your speedometer will be 2 mph too slow. A better substitute would be a 285/70-16.
