A mountain is considered to be a mountain if it is over 1000 feet above sea level. There was a film in the 1990's starring Hugh Grant and Colm Meaney about a Welsh village who stated that their mountain was the first as you entered Wales from England. Hugh Grant, who played an English surveyor, stated that it was less than 1000 feet and therefore only a hill which the locals didn't take well to so they started to take stones and pebbles up the hill and place them so that it would raise the height above this value which it eventually did. The title of the film?

The Englishman who went up a hill but came down a mountain.
