That may refer to DC electricity - direct current. This is when the current always flows in the same direction, unlike AC which changes its direction several times per second. That may refer to DC electricity - direct current. because it flows on the direction where the net charge flows. :D
Static electricity is an imbalance of electric charges within or on the surface of a material. The charge remains until it is able to move away by means of an electric current or electrical discharge.Static electricity is named in contrast with current electricity, which flows through wires or other conductors and transmits energy
Direct current (DC) this is produced by for example batteries. AC alternating current changes direction on a cyclical basis and is used in power distribution and what "comes out" of the power sockets in the home.

Perhaps you are referring to DC and AC? DC is direct current - current flows in a single direction. In AC (alternating current), the current regularly changes its direction.Perhaps you are referring to DC and AC? DC is direct current - current flows in a single direction. Alternating current changes polarity 50 0r 60 times a second depending on the country you are in.
The "static" in static electricity describes that the charge is unmoving, or staying in one place. A movement of electrons is not occuring, however there is an electrical charge. The opposite would be current electricity that flows, and that you would find in electric cords, etc...

Alternating current is a flowing of electricity that changes its polarity (the direction it flows) regularly. EM occurs from AC when the electricity flows in a coil. Substantial EM radiation can also result from AC in a straight wire ... the principle of a radio transmitting antenna.
That means that there is actually something - the electrons - flowing in the specified direction. On the other hand, the "conventional current" is defined as the equivalent flow of positive charge. In the case that the charge carriers are negative (such as electrons), the conventional current flows in the opposite direction to the actual movement of charges.
