The south was going to leave the union and president Lincoln knew it would destroy the future
An American with a HUGE eyeball stared at the civil war. Trollolololooolll....
Stared at what?
The Civil War started because the South wanted to separate from the Union, but the North did not believe the South had a right to do so. If this makes more sense, the Civil War started in effort to save the Union.
because it stared the civil war. the war was fought over if his remains should be cremated or buried.

reconstruction was when the united states recovered after the civil war, it lasted from 1865-1877
Just after the election of Lincoln the southern states began to talk about leaving the Union. In April of 1861 South Carolina left the Union and Confederate forces attacked Ft. Sumter in Charleston's harbor. This began the civil war.
The cold war was stared when the USSR tried to get all the land they occupied after the war on the European front was won and have them be communist nations. The problem was when Truman announced the Truman doctrine witch said all threats of communism was our problem. so when each the Chinese civil war, Korean war, Vietnam war started we got involved to try to stop the expansion of Communism so thust he cold war was born.
We actually had a great example of one quite recently. It was the rebellion that took place in Libya to overthrow Muammar Gaddafi. It could be said that what stared as a rebellion was an all out civil war and revolution. Many revolutions are civil wars because they are internally focused rather than being against an external controlling force.

The American Civil War began on April 12, 1861. However, contrary to popular belief, the first shot was not fired at Fort Sumter but rather it was fired at the "Star of the West" which was taking supplies to Major Anderson at Fort Sumter.
