If ur using Windows NT, 2000 or XP
1. Goto the start memnu
2. click the run command
3. type "msinfo32"
4. then it shows the system information. Check for the processor description u will find it as 2397 MHZ that means ur processor spedd is 2.3 GHZ
It depends on what your operating system is. The three popular operating systems are Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
Computer speed depends primarily on how fast your central processing unit (CPU) is and how much random access memory (RAM) you have.
The CPU is where all requests to process information go. Information such as hard drive data, the fact that you plugged in a USB drive, etc. A faster CPU will allow your computer to process more information quickly, thereby speeding up your computer.
The RAM is where all information goes, temporarily. More RAM will allow your computer to store more temporary information, thereby speeding up your computer.
Windows XP: Start > Right click "My Computer" > Properties. The processor speed and amount of RAM are in front of you.
Mac OS X: Apple menu > "About this Mac". The processor speed and amount of RAM are in front of you.
Linux:
We will need to open up the command line.
If you are using GNOME or KDE: Type ALT+F2 and in the run command text box, type "xterm".
If you are not using a GUI, switch to another terminal with the ALT+Fx key, where x corresponds to the terminal number, which can be anywhere from 1 to 12, depending on how they are set up.
Now that you have a terminal open...
To get the amount of RAM that you have, type "free -m". The amount of RAM the system has available is in the Mem row, first column named "total".
To get your processor speed, type 'egrep "cpu (MHz|GHz)" /proc/cpuinfo'.
Right-click My Computer, Properties, and it should appear in the lower right hand corner of the window that will pop-up
go into device manager and select the process and click properties You can also get this Program called CPU-Z it's Free http://www.filehippo.com/download_cpuz/
There are a few ways- here are my favorites:
If you have a windows pc, you can use CPU-Z.
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
You can also find out details in your BIOS. To get there you usually have to press a certain key right when you boot up the computer (the key depends on the machine, it's usually displayed at startup. Try ESC or DEL.)
ok its sooo easy click on the start button then click on the run application or (shortcut is ctrl+ run) then type the word dxdiag in the dialog box that appears then press yes on the next box incase it appears a huge box will appear showin system information closely look at the information until you see the processor part e.g Intel Pentium 1.60 ghz(2 cpus)that's to say if your computer is a dual core if it ain't a dual core then it wont show the brackets of so
There are some programs that you can download to check your processor speed, but if you know the specific processor your computer has, the website of that processor brand should have more information.
right click on my computer- select properties - Then it will show your system info, along with your processor speed.
Run task manager, ctrl+alt+delete
The latest speed of computer is 4.1GHZ processor
nothing to do with the computer, its the processor the determines that (u can get processor upgrades)
The processor (obviously)
Th clock speed is the processor speed. It is simply the amout of operations the processor can do per second. However if the processor has multiple cores, it will be as fast as number of cores * clock speed. Note that the processor speed is not the overall computer speed.
The speed of a computer is a lot of things. The speed is how fast your computer can get data off your Hard Drive, How much Ram or Memory you have, and how fast your processor is. Most people say that the speed is the number on the processor. But That is not always true.
this means your computer have a processor with 513 MHz processing speed.
A computer's processor determines the speed. The bigger the processor, the faster the computer. If you're interested in speed over the long-haul, buy the best processor your budget allows.
processor is the brain of computer, before you purchase, considered the price, the speed, cores, cache and features, if you want low price processor but good for gaming and speed, good choice are amd.
computer with prossesor speed of 550Mh and 128Mb RAM
yes
Core clock is the actual speed at which the graphics processor on a video card on a computer operates. The core clock speed is measured in megahertz.
The processor speed of the Toshiba Satellite A355D-S6930 AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor Laptop is 2.1 GHz.
