Mice cannot chew through metal bars, even if they are thin. They can, however, chew through wood, even if it is quite thick. So the solution is to use the right material, not to make the cage thick.
If it is a fine screen mesh or something like that, yes. If it is a hard metal like thick bars on a cage or a metal plate, no. Basically, you don't want to house them in an aquarium with a screen top or something like that because they will chew through the top and escape. You can, however, put them in a cage with metal bars that are 1" or smaller in spacing.
If he is biting the cage aggresivly, then he is probably looking for somthing to chew on.if you do not supply chew sticks, get some! if you do supply chew sticks, and he is still biting the cage, that means he does not like to chew the chew sticks. My mouse does not like to chew the chew sticks, and he bites the cage every day. It is normal, your mouse is not trying to escape and he has nothing wrong with him medically. PS it is normal for the larger, stronger one to be dominate. dont worry, in a couple weeks they will work out their territories! :D
Gerbils will CHEW and EAT anything and everything they will get their claws on! But if you're worried about them eating a plastic cage they might be in, dont worry they wont, just keep any bags or things that they might be able to get on through the bars, away from the cage or else they will chew it to pieces! :) Best of all is to get a glass bottom cage with a metal top, this enables you to see their runs if they do them on the inside, but also purely because they are the easiest to clean and dont take up too much room whilst also providing them with plenty of room, Here is a link to the cage i had and it lasted me for 5 years and never once did i have a fault with it.
YES but they dont actully eat it . they could spit them out
sleep all day for they are nocturnal. eat all night and run in their hamster wheel, if you dont get them a hamster wheel they will chew on their cage all night. or you can give them a cardboard tube, they'll happily chew that
whales dont chew gum
they dont chew there food they much it up in there mouth
yes if you dont clean the cage daily
well what kind of cage does it live in? if it lives in a metal cage then you should buy wooden toys for it to bite. bunnies love to chew. so make sure that you get them lots of toys. if it lives in a cardboard cage(if there is even such thing) then u should really buy a metal one bunnies always need something to chew on i have a pet bunny and when we first got him he bite all the wooden chair of the dinning table bunnies usually bite because they are hungry so you might want to give it something to eat when you see it eatting their cages remember...bunnies like to chew...trust me :)
They don't chew on wood, but they do sometimes eat bark.
cockapoos do not chew! puppy cockapoos also dont chew as well. if anything, they only chew at least once in their life it really amazing because lots of puppys do chew
some rabbits have sharp claws which we sometimes dont see, it will be scared so dont just pick it up like that, pick it up with it`s fur, dont worry it wont hurt the rabbit as it has thick fur
