silk is no longer used for making parachutes. It was a good material before nylon came along, but no parachutes are made from silk anymore. Not for decades. <><><><> When it WAS used, it was because it was very light, extremely strong, was not bulky, and could be woven in a very tight weave.
No not really. It matters who does it. If you see blood that is not good. Sometimes the peole who do it does it tight. My last weave was sooo tight it hurt. So now I go somewhere else. And if you want a good weave get French Twist from Milky Way. That is a good weave. Its not straight its curly not really curly.
