if it is an automatic it should have a dipstick on the drivers side of the engine towards the rear of the engine and if it is a manual you fill it from a plug on the transmission itself
It doesn't have a dipstick for the manual transmission , the transmission fluid level is checked at the FILL PLUG on the side of the transmission
fill to the plug hole on side of transmission
If the Bronco has a V8 302 EFI, the transmission fill tube is located on the left side/Passanger side of vehicle to the rear next to the firewall. The 351 V8's fill tube is in the same location. It's very hard to reach when standing on the ground and you will need a transmission fluid funnel (a long skinny one)
Locate transmission dipstick. The dipstick tube is the fill tube.
in the manuel transmission through the check/fill plug
Should be a plug at the side of transmission - fill to this level
1992 - 2002 Isuzu Troopers have the GM 4L30E transmission. There is no dipstick. There is no fill tube. The only way to add fluid or check the fluid level of the transmission is through the fill plug in the transmission pan. The transmission fill plug is situated above the fluid level of the "sump" area of the pan. Add fluid by pumping it into the fill plug and let any excess drain out. You'll know it's topped off when the fluid stops pouring out.
You fill transmission with fluid through the transmission fluid dipstic tube
The location of all transmission fill locations (if your unable to find a plug on the transmission itself) is where you check your transmission fluid dipstick. Pour fluid down the very small drain with a small funnel slowly. Check your level then add the appropriate amount. Start your engine (to warm it up because it is much thicker) and fill until fluid is at the max level. Never overfill transmission fluid.
Should be a plug at the side or the transmission - fill to this level
Dry fill is 9 quarts
Pour the transmission fluid down the hole the transmission dip stick goes in. You will need a funnel to do it right. WRONG! Do not pour transmission oil into your engine oil compartment! There is no dipstick for transmission oil, at least not on the manual transmission. To fill the transmission, you must pump or pour fluid into the fill hole on the side of the transmission until it dribbles back out.
