The Hindu / Buddhist view of Reincarnation is that if you behave in a moral and ethical way, you will be rewarded. In the same way, if you behave immorally and mistreat yourself or others, you will be punished and reincarnated as something lesser.
The way you behave in the workplace is important because you have to work with others there, or with the customers of your employer. Unpleasant behavior will make coworkers less willing to work with you, or unable to work with you effectively. Inappropriate behavior to or in front of customers may drive them away from the business or impair the reputation of the company. Such behavior can also get you fired if it lasts long enough and is bad enough.
