First you need to lower its HP a ton, but don't K.O. it. Save before battling it (so you can reset if you fail) and start battling. After putting its HP down, you can try using Ultra Balls from there, or you can put it to sleep. Putting it to sleep will work better, but the first option works too. It just takes longer.
