Abra can be found on Route 24 in the grass when you find one it will always automatically use Teleport so you must use a Pokeball immediately if you want to capture it which makes it very difficult to successfully obtain so use this alternative method instead: Go to Celadon City and buy coins from the game corner (about 600) now go to the game corner exchange and talk to the person behind the middle counter and buy Abra. It will be sent to Bill's PC Box#1 so check it to find it.

∙ 12y agoTo catch an Abra you must have a luxury ball. When you face one, don't atack it, use the luxury ball AT ONCE and you've caught it! To get a luxury ball go to the Pokemon mansion. When you walk up the mansion path you will see aboy and a girl on the right. Play them, beat them and one of them will give you a luxury ball!

∙ 12y agoUse a Quick Ball if you're on Diamond, Pearl or Platinum. Use a Fast Ball if you're on Heart Gold, Soul Silver. Or use an Ultra Ball, because it has a higher catch rate (2x) than Poké Balls (1x) and Great Balls (1.5x).
