Setting Up dial Up connection By using CDMA Wireless modem?
it depends on device that which device you are using like mobile or net stick. 1. from Nokia PC Suite if you want to connect via mobile. 2. from Net setter or mobile partner if you are using Idea Net Setter.
The LAN port is not used for a dial-up connection. A modem is used for a dial-up connection.
Mine does not have one for dial up connection using a phone jack, have to use ethernet connection.
Go to your control panel and select internet options then choose connections and follow the prompts, your computer should self configure as long as you have subscribed to an internet provider. It is easier to load the software that the company provides you since information that is critical to your connection such as server location and IP address are provided.
In most cases, you first dial the main number. If an automated system answers, you will be prompted to dial the extension number. For example, to reach (318) 555-0123 x 7838, you would first dial 1-318-555-0123, and then, after the automated system answers, dial the extension number 7838. If a human operator answers, you can just say, "Extension 7838, please."
"Dial up Connection"
There are definite benefits to using broadband connections over dial-up. For one, broadband tends to be much faster than dial-up. Additionally, broadband does not require a phone line to connect. Dial-up connections are much more unreliable, as they frequently drop connection, and are also frustrating in that when using such a connection, ones phone line is unusable for phone calls.
Mainly because a dial up connection uses less Bandwidth connectivity and a dial up connection is paid for as if a call is being made, as a result it would be more expensive retrieving the attachments of the E-mail cause of the time consumed.
PSTN dial-up
If you are trying to dial, for example, "555-0123 ext. 456," you dial the main number and wait for it to answer. You may speak to a receptionist, in which case you ask for "extension 456," or you may get a computer, in which case you punch in or say "456."
If you are dialing another extension in the same company, you just dial the extension number. If you are dialing an extension number on a different phone system (for example, a different company, or a different location of the same company), you will need to dial something else before the extension number.
