You would need what is called a crossover cable. It is basically an ethernet cable with 2 of the wires swapped on one end. This swapping is usually done inside a switch but has to be physically done on the cable if you are trying to connect direct. You also have the option of using special USB cables to connect computers directly.
In order to connect the above named items, one must: 1) Tap on the rocker switch, to turn the power off. 2) Connect one end of the HUMID cable to the port found on the back in the far left corner. 3) Plug in the opposite end of the cable to a digital port on the back of the PC tower. 4) Power on the computer and use the toggle switch to activate the P V R.

You can use a switch to connect different pieces of equipment. For example, a standard ADSL router only has a port for a single Ethernet cable. If you want to connect 2 or more computers to the Internet, you can use a switch. In this case, the ADSL router and each computer connect to the switch, via a standard Ethernet cable. If you don't have an Internet connection, you can still set up a home network to share files, etc. To connect only 2 computers, you can connect them directly via a crossover cable. To connect more than 2 computers, better use a switch. You can use a switch to connect different pieces of equipment. For example, a standard ADSL router only has a port for a single Ethernet cable.
