You don't battle it. Purity forest (assuming you are talking about PMD red and blue) is a level one dungeon, which is where your level is temporarily reset to level one. In this dungeon all items and money are lost forever if you try to go in there with things. Also, you can only bring one Pokemon with you and none will join your team in here except for Celebi. This dungeon is 99 floors. Bring someone with fast level-up and HP, like Kecleon, Pichu, or Mewtwo. I used Kecleon. Good luck and DONT GIVE UP! :)
