i would say the easiest solution would be to look in youre fuse box and find the fuse that has "chime" on it. Make sure you look to see that the same fuse doesn't run anything vital like your tail lights or turn signals. if they aren't labeled u can look in youre owners manual or any chiltons guide on your car.

You can check your automatic transmission fluid in your 1992 Chevy Cavalier with the transmission dipstick. The dipstick will have marks that indicate whether it is full or low one quart.
I cant tell you how to disable the light but i can for the buzzer, theres a little box under neath the dash with 3 small holes in it. disconnect that and it will disable the buzzer, but that buzzer also is for the door ajar and when you leave your lights on or key in the ignition so think about that first. if you can find a wirinf diagram you might be able to just cut 1 wire to disable just that function but i dont have one.
